29 December 2020As per decision of Judo Canada’s Board of Directors, the following important updates to the Judo Canada policies has been approved:
- Backpatches
As of January 1st, 2017 for Judo Canada sanctioned event only backpatches approved by Judo Canada are allowed on the judogi – see the attached documents
- Tournament Sanctioning Policy: For all tournaments sanctioned by Judo Canada the following standrads for tatami layout is allowed: – 4 m between safety zone between two adjacent tatamis and 3 m the outside safety zone.
- As of January 1st , 2017: To allow U18 and younger judoka without permanent residency status in Canada to compete in National Championships providing that they have a minimum of two years of membership with Judo Canada .
