Judo Canada is excited to offer a total of 15 bursaries of $500 value to member clubs across the country with the goal of motivating change and implementing the Long-Term Development Model at the local/grassroot level. Clubs are welcome to apply to both grants and will be awarded accordingly depending on the demand. The grants will focus on two main areas;

1. New tournament regulations
2. Female participation in Judo

 

Clubs that are members in good standing with their PTSO’s are invited to apply for the following:

U8/U10/U12 Club Tournament Grant

Membered clubs are invited to apply for this grant of $500 with the purpose of implementing the new regulations for tournaments at the U8, U10 and U12 age divisions. (see 2022-23 tournament standard Policy at: https://judocanada.org/tournament-policy-ne-waza/) The grant can be used to cover fees, medals, participation prizes, gym rental, sporting equipment, etc. The tournament must between November 1st 2022 and March 15th 2023 followed by a report submitted by a set date determined by Judo Canada.

All Female Training Grant

Membered clubs are invited to apply for this grant of $500 with the purpose of increasing female participation in Judo in Cannada at the grassroots level (U12, U14 and U16 age divisions). The grant can be used to cover fees such as a guest  female instructor, rental fees, coaches’ salary, etc. Clubs applying for this grant will be asked to contribute their own funds in part towards the overall project. The training schedule must include a minimum of 15 sessions between September 1st 2022 and March 15th 2023 followed by a report submitted by a set date determined by Judo Canada.
