Montreal, October 6, 2018 – Bradley Langlois, fighting in -73 kg, was the only athlete representing Canada at the 2018 Glasgow European Judo Open in Great Britain on Saturday.
Bradley was up against Kristian Nikollbibaj, from Switzerland, in the first round. Bradley was able to eliminate his opponent after 2min43 in golden score, when he scored an ippon.
His second bout was against Daan Ten Heuvel, from Netherlands. Tired from his first fight, which lasted more than 6 minutes, Bradley as defeated by waza-ari, and Ten Heuvel went on to finish in 7th place.
With the Glasgow European Judo Open being a secondary tournament, Langlois was expected to perform better than he did. The next step for him will be to make sure he participates in more tournaments to get back in the game and climb up the rankings again.
