The two enthusiastic new partners plan to share the benefits of their agreement with the entire judo community, all across Canada.

Discussions about a possible partnership began during the lead-up to the PanAmerican–Oceania Championships. As Judo Canada searched for sponsors for this September’s event in Calgary, Alberta, the organization instead found a new official national partner in Hertz Canada, who decided to commit to more than the two-week event.

Hertz, an iconic brand with a 100-year history of success delivering superior service to car rental customers, will support the Canadian federation on a long-term basis for several competitions, in addition to offering benefits to clubs and provinces throughout the year.

The new agreement once again demonstrates Judo Canada’s commitment to supporting its members from coast to coast.

“I’m very pleased that we’ve entered into this agreement with Hertz Canada, a world leader in vehicle rentals. And it’s not simply for events. It’s a true sponsorship that will benefit the entire community,” said Nicolas Gill, chief executive officer and high performance director of Judo Canada.

“That’s often what we look for in our partners. It’s great to support the Canadian federation, but our mission is also to support the provincial federations and to foster their development,” he added.
