Judo Canada is proud to welcome Steelhaus as a new partner and the official presenter of the 2026 Awards and Recognition Gala, held in Calgary on May 17 as part of the Open National Championships.

The annual gala is an important moment for the Canadian judo community. It brings together athletes, coaches, clubs, officials, volunteers, families, and partners to celebrate the people who contribute to the growth and success of judo across the country. This year’s edition honoured seventeen athletes, clubs, and volunteers for their achievements, commitment, and positive impact on the sport.

Based in Alberta, Steelhaus is a Canadian company recognized for its innovation, engineering expertise, and commitment to performance. The company describes itself as a vertically integrated completions company, engineering solutions from design to deployment, with more than 15 years of product development experience.

For Judo Canada, welcoming Steelhaus as the presenting partner of the Awards and Recognition Gala was especially meaningful in Calgary, a city with a strong connection to both Canadian sport and the energy sector.

“We are very pleased to welcome Steelhaus as a new partner of Judo Canada and as the official presenter of our Awards and Recognition Gala,” said Nicolas Gill, CEO of Judo Canada. “This evening is about recognizing excellence, dedication, leadership, and the many people who help build our sport from the grassroots level to the international stage. The partnership reflects shared values between Steelhaus and the judo community, including discipline, perseverance, teamwork, innovation, and commitment to excellence. Through its involvement, Steelhaus helped elevate an evening dedicated to recognizing those who make a lasting difference in Canadian judo.

The 2026 Awards and Recognition Gala took place during a successful week of judo in Calgary, where the Open National Championships brought together the Canadian judo community for one of the most important events on the national calendar. Judo Canada’s annual gala recognized athletes, clubs, and volunteers who continue to inspire the next generation and strengthen the sport across the country.

Judo Canada sincerely thanks Steelhaus for its support and for choosing to become involved in this important celebration of Canadian judo. The organization looks forward to building this new relationship and exploring opportunities to grow the partnership in the years ahead.

Welcome to the Judo Canada family, Steelhaus.
