Project description

Contest / NTC Judo School 2016

The Judo Canada women’s committee will hold a contest among female judoka, the prize is a free participation in the Judo School. The winner will be able to attend the training camp scheduled for August 8-12, 2016 at l’Institut National du Sport du Québec, free of charge. The camp will be for U16 and U18 judokas who participated in the Canadian Championships in 2015 and/or 2016 and will be run by Jean Pierre Cantin, the national junior and cadet team coach. The prize also covers travel costs. The members of the women’s committee will select the winner based on results and motivation. To participate, you must fill out the form, provide all the necessary information and return it to the following address: mh.chisholm@judocanada.org

 

This camp is a unique opportunity that would allow the selected athletes to experience to train at the national training centre and benefit from the same surroundings as the national team.

Includes:

  • Accommodation for 6 nights at Auberge Universel (arrival date August 7 at night/departure August 13 in the morning)
  • Nutritious meals, from August 8 until the 12 (envisage money for a meal at the restaurant)
  • Judo training
  • Various workshops: nutrition, sports psychology and physical preparation
  • Leisure activities (to be determined)
  • Transportation from the airport, train or bus station on arrival and departure  

 

Eligibility

 

  • We accept all the requests of female athletes who are active member of Judo Canada (Affiliated member)
  • Age : Born between 1999 and 2003
  • Athletes must have participated in a National Championship U16/U18 in 2015 and/or 2016

Selection process

  • All applications are reviewed based on the criteria established by the selection committee

These criteria include, among other:

  • The ranking of the athlete on the provincial and national scene
  •  The responses of the athlete to the application form (including the reference letter)
